Buzdovan

Introducing Buzdovan

A drink that brings together the story of the land, the orchards, and a modern craft approach.

Buzdovan is a craft cider inspired by an old Međimurje legend from the 16th century. According to the story, the knight Nikola Malakoci won a tournament at the court of Count Juraj Zrinski and was rewarded with as much land as he could throw his mace. The mace landed in Lapština, the place where the orchards that supply the apples for our cider still grow today.

From those apples we create a naturally fermented cider that combines local tradition, the orchards of Međimurje, and a contemporary craft approach to production. Special attention is given to the selection of apple varieties, fermentation, and preserving the authentic aromas of the fruit.

Buzdovan is more than a drink – it is a story about apples, the land, and the people who believe that something truly special can be created from simple fruit. Every bottle carries a part of that legend and the character of the place it comes from.
